About the PracticeWelcome to our practice website! I am a child and adolescent psychiatrist located in Memphis.
Dr. Jerry Heston, the current sole practitioner at CAPA (Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Associates, PLLC) is now doing part-time (limited hours), telehealth visits for established patients. At CAPA, we strive to provide care that is both comfortable and of the highest quality. We adhere to a basic systemic viewpoint: Whenever a child has a problem it affects and is affected by the rest of the family. Treatment may be focused on the child, the parents or the entire family with mutual benefits for the child and their basic support system, the family. Email us at [email protected] with any questions or to schedule an appointment. As of July 2024, CAPA is a completely telehealth practice; there will be no physical office or place to see patients in person. Patients or families in crisis needing in person evaluation will be referred to local emergency rooms or other practices that can manage those needs. Based on past experiences with telehealth, it can be an effective intervention for stable patients who need review and adjustment of medications every few months. It can be helpful for patients who need periodic therapy check-ins. (For more information, please see Policies page.) |
